Privacy Policy.
This page explains what information we collect when you visit this website, book a call or work with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English so you can read it in a few minutes.
Six things to know
- We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to list brokers, not to anyone.
- We collect only what we need to answer you, run calls and programmes, and send emails you asked for.
- Payments are handled by secure gateways. We never see or store your full card details.
- Analytics and ad cookies are optional. You can block them in your browser at any time.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop WhatsApp messages at any time.
- You control your data. Ask us to see, correct or delete it by writing to connect@theshubhammittal.com.
Who we are
This website, theshubhammittal.com (the "Site"), is run by Shubham Mittal, founder of ThriveCrest, based in Mumbai, India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Shubham Mittal and ThriveCrest. "You" means anyone who visits the Site, signs up for a resource, books a call, buys a programme or works with us.
For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. In plain terms: we decide why and how your data is used, and we are responsible for it.
This policy covers the Site and all products, programmes and services we offer, including 1:1 consulting, the Expert Revenue Diagnosis Call, free resources, the Shubham Mittal Show and our email newsletter.
What we collect
You can browse the Site without telling us who you are. We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us, plus a limited amount of technical data collected automatically.
Information you give us
| When | What we collect |
|---|---|
| You download a free resource or join the newsletter | Name and email address |
| You book a call | Name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, and your answers to the booking questions (for example your business, revenue range and goals) |
| You buy a programme or service | Name, email, phone, billing address and, where you need a GST invoice, your GSTIN and business name. Payment details go straight to the payment gateway, not to us. |
| You become a client | The business information you share during our work together, such as offers, pricing, sales data and content drafts |
| You email or message us | Your contact details and whatever you choose to include in the message |
| You give a testimonial | Your name, title, photo and words, used only with your permission |
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our tools may record technical details such as your browser and device type, operating system, IP address, approximate location (city or country), the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from LinkedIn or an ad) and the time spent on each page. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, explained in section 4.
Information from others
If you reach us through an ad, a LinkedIn message, a referral or a partner, we may receive basic details such as your name and how you found us.
How we use your information
We use your personal data only for the purposes below, and only with your consent or where it is needed to provide something you asked for.
- To deliver what you asked for: send a free resource, schedule and run your call, and deliver the programme or service you bought.
- To prepare for your call: review your booking answers so the Diagnosis Call is useful from the first minute.
- To process payments and issue invoices, and to meet our tax and accounting duties, including GST.
- To stay in touch: send reminders, follow-ups and, if you opted in, our newsletter and updates about relevant programmes.
- To improve the Site and our content: understand, in aggregate, which pages and resources are useful.
- To show relevant ads: measure our ads and show our content to people likely to find it useful, through platforms such as Meta and Google.
- To respond to you: answer questions, support requests and privacy requests.
- To meet legal obligations and protect our rights, for example in a payment dispute.
We will not use your data for a purpose that is unrelated to the above without asking you first.
Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We use them for three reasons:
- Essential cookies keep the Site, forms and checkout working. The Site may not work properly without them.
- Analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, tell us how visitors use the Site in aggregate.
- Advertising cookies and pixels, such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, help us measure our ads and show them to relevant people, including people who have visited the Site before.
Embedded content, such as YouTube videos, may also set cookies from the provider that hosts it.
Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage ad preferences in your Meta ad settings and Google ad settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop some parts of the Site from working.
Emails, calls and WhatsApp
If you sign up for a resource or the newsletter, we will send you emails with ideas, case studies and, from time to time, information about our programmes. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and one click removes you.
If you book a call or share your phone number, we or our team may contact you by phone or WhatsApp about that call or your enquiry. Reply "STOP" or write to us and we will stop. We still send messages you need, such as payment receipts or session reminders for a programme you bought.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected:
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.
- Call bookings that do not lead to work together: up to 24 months, so we have context if you come back, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Clients: for the length of the engagement and a reasonable period after it.
- Invoices and payment records: for the period required by Indian tax and accounting laws (generally up to 8 years).
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or change. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, reputable providers with strong security standards, access limited to people who need it, and secure passwords with two-factor authentication on our accounts.
No method of sending or storing data online is 100% secure. If a data breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, and other laws such as the GDPR where they apply to you, you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, write to connect@theshubhammittal.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India or, if you live in the EU or UK, your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We work with clients in India and abroad, and some of our providers (such as systeme.io, Calendly, Google and Meta) store data on servers outside India. When your data is transferred, we rely on providers that apply recognised safeguards, and we follow any transfer restrictions set by Indian law.
Children
Our services are meant for professionals and business owners aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party websites
The Site links to other websites and platforms, such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Amazon and Calendly. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, tools or the law change. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell subscribers and clients by email. We encourage you to check this page from time to time.
By using the Site after an update is posted, you accept the updated policy.
